Les Temps Sont Durs Pour Les Reveurs 1 by reubennegron Les Temps Sont Durs Pour Les Reveurs 1 by reubennegron

It's been a while but I wanted to share what I've been working on this past week. I'm excited to announce that I will be participating in Spoke Art's “La Couleur de l’Etrangete” - An Art Show Tribute to the Films of Jean-Pierre Jeunet & Marc Caro.

The exhibition, which runs from May 9th to May 30th, features paintings, sculptures, and prints that re-interpret and re-imagine the cinematic work of Jeunet and Caro, which includes such films as AmelieCity of Lost Children, and Delicatessen. Spoke Art is also teaming up with the historic Roxie Theater for a double-screening of Amelie and City of Lost Children on Saturday, May 23rd.

For more information please visit Spoke Art or contact them HERE.

Beautiful work! I have a question ... what do you do between stages 3 and 4? (to get the end result)

Lots and lots of washes. Unfortunately I didn't take a photo of the in-between stages but basically the difference you see between 2 and 3 continues until it's finished. It's built up slowly.

Thanks! It's certainly something new for me. But I like it - i think I'll have to bring this into some of my new work.
