Coupling II - detail

For those that may be curious, here is a detail from my latest painting. On this particular painting I used winsor&newton watercolors on arches cold press 140lbs paper at 30x22 inches. My brushes range from a 1 1/2" flat wash at the large end down to a 000 series 7 at the small end. They are from various brands but for the most part I like the winsor&newton series 404 and 101 scepter golds... they are sturdy brushes that can take a beating and continually put out great performance. And for those keeping score, right now my MVP is a #2 series 7 winsor&newton sable. Damn that's a good brush.
